Product Description

The Ningaloo Marine Park protects one of Australia's most important tracts of reef. For much of its 260 kilometre length you can reach the colourful corals by snorkelling over a shalllow lagoon.

Green turtles have extensive rookeries inside the reef, dugong feed on seagrasses within the lagoons and humpback whales migrate close to the coast, while the world's largest fish, the whale shark, regularly visits each autumn. The rugged, arid beauty of the Cape Range National Park provides a stark background to this profusion of life under the waves.

This book offers a remarkable insight into the reef's prolific marine life, which includes more than 500 specics of fish, 250 known species of corals and about 600 species of molluscs.
