What? Not plugging the latest edition of Nancy Chandler's Map of Chiang Mai? If it is too cold to go out, just jump on a plane and fly out!

The Chart & Map Shop
Do you love maps?
Do you love people?
Do you love Fremantle?
Do you have a passion for travel and for seeing the world and then sharing your knowledge and experiences with others?
Would you like to work for a well established family business with a great history in Fremantle?

If this sounds like you then we have a job for you.

We are on the hunt for a veritable wonder-person to join our midst. We want someone who can do fifteen things at once whilst serving two people and answering a phone call. Tough call I know, but I’m sure there is someone out there with mad skills such as these.

We need a full time person, Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Ideally wed like you to stick around a while as there is much to learn in the way of maps. You can be girl, boy, woman or man, we dont care how old or young you are as long as you are our dream person.

The position going is front of house - greeting customers and helping them with all their mapping, charting and travelling needs, as well as opening and closing the shop, running the till, answering phones, trimming printed maps, laminating maps, unpacking orders, pricing and putting away stock and tidying up the shelves amongst a myriad of other related tasks.

You may think the world of maps is a quiet and stately affair, but I can assure you at times, it isnt. You need to be a finger on the pulse kind of person, not scared of hard work and able to knuckle down and get to it without supervision. You need to be self reliant and capable of working under pressure and generally just an all round super-star. And you really, really need to love dealing with people. We want our customers to walk away thinking that we are the best shop theyve ever been into. Our dad had such an incredible way with customers and we are hoping we can find someone who can continue on with the same style and love of charts and maps and people that he had.

If you think you might be the wonder-person we are looking for, please apply in writing with a cover letter to tell us how fantastic you are and why we should choose you.

We look forward to hearing from you.
