about our maps
Everbody loves maps. The sense of adventure you get unfolding a map of some distant land while planning your next overseas escapade, the excitement and trepidation when you arrive in said distant land, bleary-eyed, clutching your slightly crumpled map, or just the appreciation felt when looking at a map for no particular reason other than to marvel at the skill and history behind the unholy marriage of science and art that is cartography. Maybe that's just us, but you would surely be hard pressed to find someone that wasn't at least a little enamoured with the wonders of a good map.

Topographic maps, road maps, road atlases, small wall maps, gigantic wall maps, medium sized wall maps, world maps, country maps, regional maps, local maps, themed maps, kids maps, maps, maps, MAPS! We make a concerted effort to keep as many maps, covering as much of the globe as possible, in no small part due to our tendency to follow the excellent business model of getting maps in just because we like them, with no real thought to whether anyone will actually buy them. So, whether you're trying to find your way around the other side of town or the other side of the world, there's a pretty good chance we'll have something befitting.

We also source our maps from all over the world, so occasionally place names won't be in English, but it's worth noting that neither will the road signs when you get there. Speaking of English, this small collection of sentences contains the word 'maps' more than twenty times! My unwaveringly erudite, English teaching mother will be impressed!

This Pacific-centered World map clearly shows all political boundaries, capital cities and major towns. This is one of the clearest world maps available and would look great on any wall.

World time zones are shown but without their specific boundaries. There is no elevation tinting to mark out the topography which helps the political boundaries really stand out, but mountain ranges, peaks, etc. are indicated and named and the ocean is shaded to indicate depth. Major airports and ports are also shown.

This map can be laminated for extra durability.
