Crumpled City Maps, they're still awesome

Various Crumpled City Maps

Awesomely, this blog has given me yet another avenue to harp on about how much I like these Crumpled City Maps. Let's face it, folding maps is hard. I've been doing it for 15 years and I still have trouble. Designed by Emanuele Pizzolorusso, these marvels of innovation dispense with the tyranny of the fold, they're super light weight, waterproof, tear-proof and did I mention awesome? Scrunch them up and shove them in your pocket, backpack or the carrying pouch provided, use them as an umbrella, or a tablecloth, or a blanket for tiny people, these things are versatile and indestructible. The city maps on them are also pretty good, they're easy to read and highlight all the important stuff you want to see, like monuments, museums, art galleries and historical things. They also include a bunch of "soul sights", which sounds stupid, but really just highlight some cool places to see in whatever city you're in. With over 30 titles now in the range, you can stuff your pockets with all the world's top cities.
