From IGN's Decouverte des Pays du Monde (Discover the Countries of the World) series, this Central African Republic map covers the country in good detail at 1:1 500 000. Highways, principal roads and many minor roads are clearly marked out with intermediate road distances shown on most of them. Places of interest or significance are indicated on the map including railways, airports, some hotels, post offices, hospitals and more.

Topography is shown with relief shading and spot heights. Administrative boundaries are also marked out. The legend is only in French, but you can hazzard a guess as to what most of the symbols mean.

The map also include a small inset with a basic street map of the capital, Bangui, at 1:50 000 which shows where the airport is and some other buildings that might be useful.

Heir to a long line of cartographers, IGN has been involved in all cartography-related operations in France and its territories since 1940.
