This book is not just intended as a guide to finding flowers in their natural habitat, as many of them are grown in gardens, parks and as street trees all over Australia and overseas. The author wishes to increase the awareness of our magnificent wildflowers and the conservation of their natural habitats.

No specimens were gathered from the wild for the paintings. All the paintings were done from photos collected while travelling - with notations indicating locations and month after each scaled reproduction.
