This is the first map ever published of this secretive country. Needless to say, gathering information was difficult but, thanks to cartographic input from around the world, the project was completed in only four years.

The information shown is designed to encourage people to visit this interesting country locked into a 1950s mind-set. Of all the maps ITMB has published over the years, this one ranks as the one the world most needs.

The map includes an inset showing Pyongyang with hospitals, some accommodation, museums, bus terminals and other useful stuff marked and another inset showing the Pyongyang Metro system.

Topography is shown using altitude shading and some spot heights, the map is single sided and printed on paper.
