This latest edition of the popular ITMB map of South Africa has had a complete cartographic face-lift. The hypsometry (contouring colouration) is much more sharply defined, the rivers more visible, and the roads defined more accurately by quality. The country's growing stretches of motorway have also been updated.

The map includes decent insets showing street plans of Pretoria, Johannesburg and Cape Town with some accommodation and various other points of interest marked.

Some roads in Lesotho, Swaziland, and surroundings of Maputo (Mozambique) and Gaborone (Botswana) are also included. A range of symbols and graphics indicatepoints of interest, churches, archaeological sites, beaches, diving, museums, forts, campsites, caves, accommodation, World Heritage sites, clinics, police stations, airports, lighthouses, springs, hot springs, border crossing points, etc.

Topography is shown using altitude shading with some spot heights. The map is double sided and printed on durable waterproof, tear resistant plastic paper.
