Discover the regions of France, with these tourist maps from IGN. They use a general road map as their base, and then they are overlaid with a vast array of tourist information.

This particular map covers the length of the Loire River, including the UNESCO World Heritage section of the Loire Valley. It is known as the Garden of France, with vineyards, orchards and beautiful chateau in abundance on the river banks.

The map is well coloured, with information clearly shown. Main roads and autobahn are shown, with toll gates displayed. Wooded areas and waterways are shown by colour. The map makes use of icons. They show riparian entertainments such as canoeing, fish breeding areas, rafting and fishing as well as places of beauty and bridges. Natural attractions, places to watch birds, chateaux, and places of particular interest are mapped out.

Much of the wording is in French; however the legend is in several languages, including English. The map is on a 1:100 000 scale.
