The new edition of IGNs regional series of France at 1:250,000 (about 4 miles to the inch). They provide coverage of large areas on road maps with tourist information and enlargements for environs of main cities.

These maps have detailed mapping of regional and minor local roads combined with very clear presentation of motorways and main national routes, showing toll sections with locations of toll gates, services and rest areas, plus locations of fixed speed cameras.

Junction numbers are clearly marked. The maps indicate access restrictions, not regularly maintained sections of minor local roads, etc. Intermediate driving distances are marked on main and regional routes. Sections in construction, both on main routes and local roads, are annotated with opening dates. The maps also show the countrys railway network with stations and local stops, as well as departmental and regional administrative boundaries.

Selected towns of particular tourist interest are highlighted and a wide range of symbols mark locations of various places of interest, including chateaux and castles, cathedrals and churches, viewpoints, interesting natural features, nature reserves, etc. National and regional parks are prominently marked. Topography is shown by relief shading with colouring and graphics to indicate wooded areas, marshes, salt marshes, dry or wet sand shoreline, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 10'' intervals.

Map legend includes English.

Gloss Laminate

Gloss laminate makes colours look more vibrant and stand out more, but is quite shiny (reflective). If you’re planning on using a marker of any sort, this is a better choice because it’s easier to clean. Your print will be fully encapsulated (so laminated on both sides) in durable 80 micron laminate and will last you a lot longer than plain paper.

Matte Laminate

Matte laminate has a smooth, non-reflective, very classy looking surface. I wouldn’t say it dulls colours, but it doesn’t make them ‘pop’ (I hate that I just used that word) in the way that gloss does. Matte can be drawn on with pencil (and erased), but is harder to clean if you use markers. Your print will be fully encapsulated (so laminated on both sides) in durable 80 micron laminate and will last you a lot longer than plain paper.

Canvas

Everything looks better on canvas! Something about the texture really makes prints look wonderful. It is quite expensive though. We use a very high quality 340gsm artistic matte canvas. Your canvas print will come rolled with a roughly 50mm white border to allow you to have it stretched or mounted however you wish.
