The island is one of the Caribbean's touristic 'hotspots', with dozens of resort hotels and guest houses on the north and west coasts. The map shows Kingston on one side and the island on the other, with various town insets included.

The map includes a number of inset maps showing street plans of Port Antonio (1:20 000), Mandeville (1:25 000), Spanish Town (1:25 000), Ocho Rios (1:18 000) and Montego Bay (1:23 000). There is also a handy distance chart showing distances in kilometres between principal toen centres.

The map is printed on durable waterproof, tear resistant plastic paper, the topography of the land is shown using altitude shading and some spot heights.
