Japan Central Road Map by ITMB

A relatively new addition to ITMB's Japan range, this double sided map at 1:600,000 focuses on the country's core, most heavily visited regions, sparing travellers the bulk of a full country map when their itinerary is concentrated in central Japan. Side one covers the area from Tokyo north to Sendai and Niigata, extending west as far as Nagoya, giving solid detail across the greater Tokyo region and the areas immediately beyond it.

Side two extends the coverage west to Hiroshima, with dedicated insets for the Osaka and Kobe region as well as Kyoto and Nara, effectively bringing Japan's other major tourist corridor onto the same sheet. Tourist attractions are marked throughout both sides, and the legend covers roads by classification, railways, rivers and lakes, national parks, airports, points of interest and even zoos and fishing spots.

Unfolded, the map measures 100 x 68cm, folding down to a compact 24.6 x 10.3cm. A practical, purpose built option for travellers concentrating their trip on Japan's most visited central corridor rather than needing coverage of the whole country.
