Covering the entire African continent from top to bottom and east to west at 1:4,800,000, this map was built from the first proper digital database mapping of Africa that ITMB has produced, taking in all 54 nation states along with a number of island groups, including the Cape Verde Islands, the Canaries, Madeira, Socotra, the Comoros and Madagascar. Following strong sales of the previous edition, this update adds considerable further detail, particularly across the continent's northwest.

Road improvements have been incorporated where reliable data supports them, such as new connections in the Morocco to Mauritania corridor, alongside national parks, airports, fuel stops, dirt roads and a small inset plan of each country's capital. As with any continental scale map, some ongoing political and border complexities across the region aren't reflected in the road network itself, so the map is best used as a broad overview rather than a detailed route planner for any single country.

Printed double sided on durable paper, the map unfolds to a substantial 100 x 69cm and folds down to a compact 24.6 x 10.3cm. A useful single sheet reference for getting a sense of the whole African continent in context.
