Ethiopia, 1:2,000,000 – Gizi Map

A detailed map of Ethiopia from Gizi Map, presented in the publisher's characteristic bold altitude colouring, with spot heights and named peaks and mountain ranges. Additional graphics mark flood plains, swamps, salt flats, deserts, lava fields, wadis and water wells, giving a vivid picture of the country's geography, alongside national parks and other protected and notable natural sites.

Coverage extends to Eritrea and Djibouti, across the Red Sea to Sana'a and Aden, north-west to Khartoum to cover the full course of the Blue Nile, and into a large part of Somalia, with regions annotated according to their 2011 political situation. Disputed boundaries, such as the Ilemi Triangle, are marked where relevant. Town and provincial names appear in both Latin and Ethiopian Ge'ez script.

The road network includes selected country tracks, border crossings and distances on main routes, along with railway lines and internal airports. Symbols mark tourist accommodation, campsites, UNESCO World Heritage sites and other places of interest. Latitude and longitude lines run at 1° intervals, with the index on the reverse and the legend in English and Ethiopian.

The map also includes a large, clear street plan of central Addis Ababa, highlighting hotels and places of interest, an enlargement of the capital's surrounding area, and a 1:275,000 enlargement of Simien Mountains National Park showing trekking routes, lodges and campsites.
