The three northern Rocky Mountain states of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming form a distinct regional unit within the USA, scenically striking, relatively lightly populated and largely agricultural in character. Printed double sided at 1:1,000,000, side one concentrates on Idaho, taking in a small slice of Washington State, Montana and Utah, and showing dozens of wilderness campsites, Glacier National Park, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and the site of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, where Native American forces decisively defeated the US Cavalry.

Side two shifts focus to Montana and Wyoming and the eastern side of the Rocky Mountain chain, taking in Big Sky Country and well known destinations such as Cheyenne, Laramie, Billings and Bozeman, with Grand Teton standing tall in the distance. Yellowstone National Park, spanning parts of all three states, is a major drawcard covered across both sides of the map.
