This is the third edition of NewTopo's map of the Wangapeka Track through Kahurangi National Park, drawn at 1:55,000 on A1 sheet size and printed on high wet strength paper for repeated use in the field. Coverage runs from the Waimea Basin near Tapawera, south of Nelson, across to the West Coast near Little Wanganui, south of Karamea, and the sheet has been extended northward so it overlaps neighbouring NewTopo maps of the Heaphy Track and the Mt Arthur and Cobb Valley areas.
Contours and shading show the two 1000 metre passes the track crosses, along with the Leslie-Karamea Track running upstream from Karamea Bend and the current position of Belltown Mahunui Hut. It is a practical planning and navigation companion for trampers walking the Wangapeka in either direction.
