Daily Astronomical Data for Celestial Navigation

The Nautical Almanac, published as NP314 by His Majesty's Nautical Almanac Office, provides the daily positions of the sun, moon, planets and navigational stars needed to reduce sextant sights to a position line. This is the 2026 edition.

Used together with sight reduction tables such as the ADMIRALTY Rapid Sight Reduction Tables, it remains the standard reference for astro-navigation aboard vessels that maintain a celestial back up to satellite positioning.
