The honeymoon voyage behind a sailing classic
Long before he wrote Swallows and Amazons, Arthur Ransome was a journalist and keen sailor who spent much of the 1920s cruising the Baltic aboard his yacht Racundra. This book covers his third such voyage, taken in 1924 as a honeymoon cruise with his new wife, Evgenia Shelepina.
Ransome never finished his own account of the trip, so editor Brian Hammett completed it using Ransome's surviving diaries, logbooks and photographs, together with his own retracing of the route by boat.
Recommended for sailors and readers of classic maritime travel writing.
